Dr. Szilvia Mihályi, DMD is an oral surgeon, Clinical Director, and PhD candidate with more than 15 years of clinical experience in oral surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, and temporomandibular disorder (TMD) management. After graduating from the Faculty of Dentistry of Semmelweis University, she completed her specialist training in dentoalveolar surgery and has since combined clinical practice, education, and research throughout her career. She currently leads the professional activities of three multidisciplinary clinics in Hungary, which also serve as accredited clinical training sites in cooperation with Semmelweis University for Oral Surgery specialist training. Actively practicing in both Hungary and Ireland, Dr. Mihályi has extensive international clinical experience and a special interest in temporomandibular disorders and ultrasound diagnostics of the masticatory system.

Her current PhD research focuses on integrating ultrasonography into everyday TMD diagnostics and advancing its role as a routine clinical tool in the assessment of temporomandibular disorders. Building on earlier research experience in oral cancer, conducted in collaboration with the National Institute of Oncology, she has authored and presented scientific work in the fields of oral surgery, oral oncology, orofacial pain, temporomandibular disorders, and ultrasound-based diagnostics. Through her clinical, educational, and research activities, she is committed to advancing evidence-based patient care and innovation in oral and maxillofacial diagnostics.
